WWE Executive To Invest Into The UFC
Current WWE executive, and Vice President Shane McMahon, who will leave the company at the beginning of January, is looking into the possibility of buying a financial interest within the UFC, and has cashed out $50 of his $80 million dollars in WWE stock to do so.
UFC President Dana White has always said that he would be willing to let someone take a ‘piece of the pie’ in his billion dollar empire, and while it may seem unorthodox, Shane McMahon would be the perfect partner. It is reported that Shane and the UFC President have already had meetings, and Shane was also present in the crowd at UFC 91.
It is well documented that UFC are now overtaking the WWE in PPV sales, but whereas WWE has had a 10 year head start on the UFC, Shane believes it will never reach the heights that it did in the early’90’s, and the UFC’s merchandise sales are still suffering. This is where McMahon comes in.
He is well known for securing large international business deals, something the UFC has been trying to do for two years, and during the UFC Fight Club last week in Vegas, Dana White declined to discuss anything that was said in the meeting with McMahon, just citing him as “a good friend” and “you never know.”
I know what you are thinking “this sounds a bit weird with the WWE Shane McMahon buying into the UFC” but all in all this could be an excellent peace of business for the UFC. Shane McMachon has a wealth of business knowledge that can only enhance the UFC image worldwide. The only downside is when people think of Shane McMahon they think of the WWE which can’t be good for the UFC. As we all know WWE is completely unreal a bit like a pantomime with good and bad guys. The UFC however is the complete opposite! Will this have a negative effect on the UFC? I personally don’t think so! However if that thought comes to me then I’m sure it will come to other people.
Either way, without Shane McMahon the UFC will continue to grow its numbers worldwide!

Workouts.
The old fashioned abdominal workout really is out-of-date - many advances have been made in the past 10 years that have shown us the real way to get our abs in shape, and why simple crunches won’t “spot-remove” fat from our belly.
Here are 5 reasons those classic routines no longer work.
#5: When it Comes to Ab Workouts, Crunches Are Out of Date.
Go with the flow and give up on the crunches — they just don’t have the relevance that they once did. Because they seemed to be the direct descendent of the sit-up, crunches had a long lifespan, but there are many more things you can be doing.
Thanks to the focus on ab exercises for reducing belly fat (which doesn’t work), a whole group of people spent a lot of time crunching, crunching, and crunching when they didn’t have to.
#4: Special Ab Tools Are Pretty Much Useless.
If you’re about to spend some big cash on some kind of infomercial advice dedicated entirely to your abs, don’t bother — all the best and most effective moves you can do with just your body.
While some people really need the physical presence of an exercise tool as a way to get them to work out, most are fine without, which is good, because they don’t really work.
#3: An Abdominal Workout That Targets Your Upper & Lower Abs Separately? Forget It.
It’s a bit of a myth that you can ‘only’ exercise your upper or lower abs, separately, in order to develop them — most of the big studies out there have shown that the abs function kind of like one big unit, and that the average person can’t isolate each part.
Stay consistent when it comes to your ab exercises and don’t obsess over separating your upper and lower regions.
#2: Switch From One Exercise to Another.
One of the problems with the classic ab approach was that it focused entirely on a maximum of about 3 different ab exercises — usually some form of crunch, and then, hey — another type of crunch!
Every single study done since then has proven that sticking to these limited amounts of exercise keeps your abs from really developing as they should — variety really is important.
#1: The Bicycle — It’s Hard, But No Fitness Ab Workout Is Complete Without It.
Because of its intensity, it’s not easy to sell people on the famous bicycle routine. Once you see how to perform the exercise (check Youtube), you’ll probably understand why.
And yet there’s really nothing like it — above all else, this one amazing exercise, which increases your workout by 178%, is what separates old boring crunches from new, great routines.

The Champions, The Los Angeles Lakers Improve With Addition of Ron Artest
The NBA season has just about arrived, and the Los Angeles Lakers are the definite favorite entering the season. Why, you might ask?
The Lakers were one of the few teams in the NBA that showed what they did in regular season didn’t matter. The Lakers weren’t playing for more then 60 wins, having home court advantage or just a finals appearance, their whole season was based on winning the championship.
It should also be noted that the only significant player the Lakers have lost is Trevor Ariza. While Ariza was a valuable role player in Los Angeles, he’s not one of the team’s stars, so all indicators would point to the notion that they should be okay without him.
Much of the Lakers’ success last year should be attributed to a lot more than just Kobe himself. This was a team effort through and through.
Ron Artest, having come to LA by way of Houston, is one of the great defenders in the game of basketball, and a strong force on offense too. He’s said to be responsible for much of Houston’s success during the past two seasons, and his presence in LA bolsters an already strong roster. His veteran experience should feed well into the culture in Los Angeles, and many believe that the Lakers should run away from the competition this season.
The Lakers are looking to repeat this season - their chances are very good. The last time a team repeated as champions were the Lakers 01′ & 02′.
It’s hard to repeat as champions in professional sports because players get hurt and more trades happen now then ever before. The Lakers still have Kobe Bryant and he is playing at an elite level.
As long as Kobe continues to play at this level, the Lakers will continue to be contenders for another championship.

Golden State Warriors in ‘09-’10 Season
The Golden State Warriors were the feel good story of 2007. Everyone was rooting for them come playoff time. The slogan, “Ya gotta believe” was the theme going on out west.
The 2007 playoffs for the Warriors was something they wish they can recreate, making the playoffs and winning the first round. The Warriors had the 2nd highest scoring average at 109 points per game but were the worst defensive team giving up 112 points per game, last in the NBA. If they ever hope to make the playoffs they can not give up that many points this coming season.
Things changed for the Warriors last season. Most notably, the loss of Baron Davis to the Los Angeles Clippers had a profound impact on the team, as any team would struggle to find its way after losing its best player.
Stephen Jackson was the leading scorer on the Warriors in 08-’09′ with 20 points per game followed by Jamal Crawford - who is not on the Warriors anymore.
There’s a lot of young talent to go around for the Warriors, and they’ll look to make the most of it next season. It’s a bit of a rebuilding process for them, but they definitely have potential and are heading in the right direction.
F/C Andris Biedrins had his best season to date averaging 11 points per game, he will need to increase that average.
The Warriors might not be what the San Antonio Spurs once were defensively - but in a league with gifted athletes the Warriors can improve like the Denver Nuggets did last year.
The Gold State Warriors are a “tweener” team - meaning they could have a fairly good season maybe be around .500 or their season can be a disaster and they are looking at a 30 win season at the bottom of the West.
For more on the Warriors, check out the Golden State Warriors forums at RootZoo Sports, the most active basketball forums online.

Fine Tuning Your Golf Swing: Latest Facts You Need Now
If you’re not already bipolar, the game of golf can make you that way. One moment you’re in awe of how well you hit your last shot and the next you’re pulling your hair out because you sliced your next drive. Mix patience together with a sound swing, they produce results that will take you a long way. The premise of the game is rather rudimentary, hit a golf sized ball as hard as you can into a hole on the other side of the golf course. Well, it’s easier said than can be reasonably done. Countless weekend golfers have succumbed to waves of frustration due to this game. It’s not really all doom and gloom.
Keeping it Plain and Simple, Just Keep Practicing
Golf is a sport based on consistency. The more you can hit the ball the same way, the better your scores will be. Hooking, slicing or issues with drive distance and other golf maladies are usually caused by the lack of consistency. Establishing a good golf swing sounds easy enough as long as you’re able to acquire the proper instruction from the start.
Although each golfer develops their own style when swinging a golf club, all golfers adhere to the same set of basic fundamentals. Each golfer’s spine acts like a rotating axis during the swing while the golfer maintains a proper grip of the club.
Conserving Energy
Eliminating unnecessary movements incorporated in your golf swing is by far one of the best things you can do. Consider it conserving energy. Your energy should be focused on striking the ball and any added awkward motions can cause hooking, slicing or other problems.
Focus on the basics and assimilate only those movements necessary to strike the ball dead center. Concentrating on the basics should result in lowering your handicap in no time. With additional practice, you’ll be hitting par golf every time. However, this will only happen if you practice.
Taking Golf Lessons
Learning how to properly swing a golf club may be accomplished by signing up for golf lessons administered by a local golf pro. Typical classes offered by local golf courses also provide clubs and trained teachers that are equipped to help you develop a proper swing. You need to show up with your determination and discipline coupled with lots of practice.
Enrolling in lessons generally costs money, however its helpful to note that golfing organizations sometimes provide incentives for new golfers to pick up the sport and may provide cheap package deals to attract people to try it. In addition, group lessons are cheaper than one-on-one lessons if you’re concerned about the initial cost.
Books on Golf and the Internet
Many people obtain golf swing advice and tips by reading books or articles they find on the internet. Depending on your learning style, I’ve known people who successfully applied what they’ve read about effectively on the golf course. Others that learn more by doing don’t really make a lot of headway using this method.
Be cautious taking advice from a free article verbatim since you get what you pay for and so much of the information found on the web contradicts each other. Your main objective is to figure out what golf aids are helpful to you in improving your golf swing.
Once you’ve properly tuned your golf swing and gotten beyond the frustration, golf can be a fun and rewarding hobby.

Body Building Tips For Beginners, How To Start Building Muscle
Any individual that is considering giving bodybuilding a try should realize that it takes a lot of patience, perseverance, and discipline to succeed. Within the first few weeks of working out, almost everyone achieves gains. Afterwards, a great deal of stagnancy settles in. This can lead to people quitting prematurely. That is a shame because it is not necessary if one follows these tips:
1. Always keep workouts simple. Begin by training one or two times during the first week. Lift mainly light weights since this will aid in getting the feel of exercise and understanding the differences between using machines and free weights. You could also hire a trainer or instructor during the first sessions in order to learn basic exercises.
As your arms are stronger and carry most of the loads that’s why you can use Barbells which are best than doing dumbbells. Barbells help you achieve balance and feel faster. Eat basic food to get enough protein, carbohydrates, fiber and essential fats instead of investing in body building supplements right away.
2. Keep it short. Every starter should remember that you gain muscle when you rest and eat, not while working out. Your initial workouts should not last more than 30 to 45 minutes. Start with a 5 to 10-minute warm-up and stretching session and end by cooling down for another 5 minutes.
The body will always need an adequate amount of time to heal. This allows the muscles enough time to grow and grow in a healthy manner. When you visit the gym too often you will discover your muscle growth process to be very limited or outright non-existent. When you feel sore a day after a workout, you probably should take a minimum of one day off before returning to the gym.
3. Always set goals. Before venturing to the gym, it is best to outline your specific regimen, goals and objectives. Ask yourself why you are interested in bodybuilding. Define what it is you want to achieve with your body. Devise a budget you wish to invest in the venture. The amount of time to allocate for training each week should be defined as well. And always be sure such plans are realistic, attainable and time-bound.
Far too often, gym-goers will quit during the initial few months of training because they devise goals that are way to difficult to obtain. Training professionals always recommend that one embark upon a program that can be recovered from easily and not a program that is too strenuous.
You must never forget that the three main pillars of body building are exercise, nutrition and rest. You should have enough of all of these to gain quality muscle and maintain it for the long term.
To help you stick to your planned regimen, try looking for a training partner who has the same goals and schedule so you can encourage each other not to skip workouts and to maintain a healthy diet and sleep pattern. Maintain a training log where you chart your progress, weight changes and lift adjustments.
Focus more on basic exercises or compound movements that hit several muscles at the same time. Great ones for starters include the squat, dead lift, military press, bench press, bent-over row and barbell curl. for every workout session do 8 to 12 sets of exercise. When we work out for several months and reach the level of intermediate only after then, we can Dividing body parts among different days of the week and isolation exercises should be done.
Always perform a light warm-up exercise prior to moving on to 1 or 2 working sets. 8 to 12 repetitions each set should be enough to deliver results while also avoiding continuing onwards until the muscles fail. Never neglect any single body part through the course of the body building career you launch. Far too often, beginners will neglect legs and calves and instead focus entirely on the upper body and maintaining lagging body parts.

How To Enhance The Effectiveness Of A Fitness Program
Health and fitness are the new buzzwords that have become a part of our lifestyle, thanks to the knowledge being spread about them by the media. Therefore people have become greatly interested in looking for and enrolling in fitness programs.
Abiding by a fitness program, either in a gym or at your residence, has a lot of benefits. Working out a personal fitness goal and achieving it becomes simple with a fitness program and the plans included in it. For example, if you are looking to decrease your weight by 10 pounds over the next 3 months, the fitness program will guide you which exercises you need to do on each day of the week, or what diet you need to follow.
A fitness program also enables you to stay encouraged and concentrated on the task at hand. It encourages you to seriously adhere to a plan and not make any excuses. As you notice that you are proceeding with substantial success, you will be convinced of the efficacy of the program and will be determined to finish it.
However, for a fitness program to be successful it needs to contain some important elements. Only that program which is productive and is worth the time and money spent on it should be chosen, so that you find yourself in great health after completing the program.
A good fitness program must have a small set of objectives and milestones, which must also be clearly chalked out. So if you are looking to reduce weight, then just concentrate on that and do not mix it with building muscles.
Subject to what objectives you have set, you must decide whether you need to join a gym or if you can exercise at your residence. Then you need to find out if you will require a personal instructor or not. However, it is generally a good idea to chalk out and execute your fitness program under the watchful guidance of a personal trainer.
Finally, it is necessary that the fitness program can be comfortably accommodated into your day without disturbing your daily schedule adversely. You will lose your inspiration if you are a bit too ambitious in your fitness goals as it will result in you having insufficient time for the whole workout. Whereas if your targets are too modest, you will start getting suspicious about the worth of all your strenuous efforts to stick to the regime. So be balanced in your endeavour and then stick to the program to achieve your fitness goals.

Getting Flat Abs Takes Work
There are many misinformed people who spend a lot of their hard earned money on products and diets that do absolutely nothing for them when it comes to slimming down when all they need is a tip on how to get flat abs.
The truth about reducing belly fat and getting flat abs is that a few crunches on your brand new abs machine won’t do a thing for your waistline. You need to focus on changing your diet as well as making lifestyle changes that are geared towards reducing fat and improving your overall health.
One of the first things you should do is to get on a proper diet. That’s not to say you should cut your meals in half, rather you should slowly decrease your caloric intake and stick with protein from lean meats and fish and eat more fresh vegetables while staying away from sweets and starchy foods. This will get you started on burning fat more efficiently.
If you are a carb lover, you should consider limiting the amounts you consume. Instead of foods like white rice, opt for brown rice. Legumes and whole grains are better sources for good carbohydrates that will also help cut down on your body fat. Better yet, choose more protein and fiber rich foods.
Space your meals out so that you’re not eating three large meals a day but rather six smaller ones instead. Your morning meal is the most important as this is what gets you going and keeps your energy levels higher. Make it a point to drink lots of water. Sometimes, what you think are hunger pangs can easily be satisfied with a glass of water.
Many people complain that even after doing hundreds of sit ups they are still not burning off excess belly fat and getting flat abs. The reason they are not able to burn off excess fat is because they are actually stressing the ab muscles and making them lethargic. In addition they probably need to lose more belly fat before the ab muscles can firm up.
A good tip on how to get flat abs is to implement a regular workout routine that helps you not only target problem areas but also promote overall body toning and strengthening. Body fat be can’t just be turned on or off in a specific area, so doing only stomach exercises won’t do much good if you need to lose fat elsewhere as well. Remember also that once you incorporate protein dense foods into your diet along with your exercise regimen, you’ll see the fat start to melt away.
Being fat is no joy and it is my hope to get paid to lose weight but since that is not likely I will be looking for some atkins diet recipes to see if they do as well for me as they did for my mum.
