Can anyone give me an example of a spiritual practice that may improve one’s health? Also, can you give me your personal opinion on how spiritual beliefs play a role in your life, if any.
Best answer goes to the one who gives the time to answer both these questions =)
Regardless of your present culture and religion, any meditation practice with mindfulness of the bringing together the body and mind into unity with the breath or the knowing of feelings/sensations from the body as much as we can remember in every moment in life whether we are sleeping, walking, standing, sitting and other activities like driving, washing, defecating, etc. Breathing in, knowing as much as you can all the sensations/emotions/feelings/tensions from the inner body and breathing out, letting go/letting die naturally/releasing the tensions from the particular experiences of the body. Let the breathing be natural and just to know without controlling. The unification of the body, mind and the breath will call upon the unity of all the cells of the body hand in hand to prevent any outside attack. For the internal attack, perhaps one should practice the loving kindness meditation that will help the inner cells to make friends with the inner attacker which is available from the sources of any religion of the world.

I practice yoga. It helps me relax and be less stress out once I’m done. Which I’m sure is good for my heart… and other things.

A positive attitude about life and a desire to serve others. For some reason, having a purpose in life tends to improve one’s health.
Having no purpose leads to depression.
Hope this helps. It is something that I have seen over the years and my grandmother, who lived beyond 100 exhibited a positive attitude about everything. Even if she didn’t like someone, she would never utter a negative word about that person and that kind of attitude sustained her throughout her life.

fasting, not just all foods, but only eating fruits and veggies and fish or something like that(even though you are eating there is purpose in the fast) spiritual beliefs guide the way we live, spiritual beliefs give us morals and ethics, the foundations of our process

I don’t know about your health, but it would improve my disposition if someone — ANYONE — could produce a definition of "spiritual."
I’ve only been asking for THREE F’IN YEARS now.

The way to receive complete healing is to speak healing …after you have received prayer for the ailment, or prayed over it yourself, then thank God for your healing and wait until you see it manifest…
Even if the devil puts the affliction on you much worse after the prayer, he will do that, so that you believe that Jesus did not really heal you…
Then it depends on your faith, do you believe what you see, or what God says ???
My belief in Jesus changed my whole life, now I still go through things, but I know that all things work out for my good, and God says that He will never leave me nor forsake me…so I am not walking this life walk alone anymore…

I don’t know ….I think it’s Yoga that they say is very peaceful as well as it rest your mind, body. I believe the spiritual beliefs could be like Yoga. When your mind is in a more restful place, your heart rate beats at a normal pace etc.
Your body responds to your mind and spirit. When you are in a restful state, you are more mentally alert, calmer..that is going to work on your blood pressure right there alone. I can’t get into this to much… because hubby wants the check book….that raises his blood pressure to the sky…hmmm …….maybe I just proved my point, I will tell him to get into Yoga first…check book second…spirituality third….yell at me last

I was suicidal and suffered from years of extreme depression/anxiety. And the only cure for my problems was turning my life over to Jesus Christ. I haven’t had any thoughts of suicide, I rarely get depression or anxiety anymore, I don’t need drugs or booze to cope anymore, and though the power of the Holy Spirit I actually stopped smoking-I smoked for 17 years, almost 2 packs a day.. now I don’t even have cravings anymore! That’s about as Spiritual of an answer as I can give you. I am a completely different person since I let Him into my life. He changes you, from the inside out! It is SUPERNATURAL.

Meditation and prayer go together like peanut buttler and jelly. Meditation helps me to realieve the stresses of my day and afterward I feel so awake & alive, and it’s a great way to talk to god. It’s a good routine even if you don’t believe in god, or don’t belong to a religion.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, give attention to my words: Incline your ears to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them. And health to all their flesh.
We can have devine health by:
Paying careful attention to the words of God;
Hear the words of God with humility ie being poor in spirit; and
Open your heart to allow the Holy Spirit to write them in your heart.
Then the word of God will promote your health and give life to your mortal body.
This has worked in my own experience. God bless you.
