Ten Steps to Prevent Bruising, Step 7 - Minerals That Can Help You Overcome Easy Bruising!

For many people bruising is something that they simply feel that they have to live with, but this is simply not true. As a matter of fact, just because it gets easier to bruise ourselves as we age doesn’t mean that we have to wander around in long sleeves all the time. Bruising occurs due a lack of elasticity of the skin and the increasing fragility of the blood vessels, but there are ways to help overcome this condition.

Even though bruising easily is somewhat typical for some people as they age, there are just a many people trying to find ways to overcome the condition. You can become readily confused by trying to determine which of the purported natural cures for easy bruising would be right for you. Your time would be best spent evaluating which minerals will give you positive results to help prevent bruising, and exactly how they help generate the results you seek. You will likely find that only a few mineral supplements can actually deliver on the promise to help overcome bruising easily.

Sulfur, in the form which is found in bromelain, which is a group of plants that includes pineapples, is one of the first and best mineral supplements that you should evaluate. Sulfur can help you overcome your tendency of bruising easily, and it also becomes a valued addition to your daily regimen for its ability to help existing bruises fade and diminish more quickly. You should also understand that sulfur is an important mineral when you are trying to prevent bruising easily as well.

Sulfur’s primary function is to help your body process and metabolize carbohydrates. Sulfur’s function is especially important when you are treating symptoms of diabetes and hypoglycemia, but it is also essential to help you in maintaining your overall general health as well. Sulfur is an critical component in insulin, which means that a lack of sulfur in your diet could cause low insulin production levels.

You should also keep in mind that sulfur helps produce the substances that actually allow your body to repair itself. As mentioned earlier, sulfur helps your bruises disappear quickly, if you are using the type of sulfur available from bromelain.

Also keep in mind that you can find sulfur from sources other than bromelain. You should seriously consider adding methyl-sulfonyl-methane, or MSM for short, to your daily regimen, and learn how this form of sulfur can make a positive difference in reducing your easy bruising. MSM is essentially an organic sulfur, and it can help make a great deal of difference in your ability to reduce bruising.

Any evaluation of MSM will show that it is used by your body to replace old and dying cells. It is a necessary component of cellular respiration, which helps keep your body healthy; and since this form of sulfur is one of the most important minerals needed by your body, it is critically important that you add it to your daily regimen.

In general, when you are thinking about taking a sulfur supplement, make sure that you understand why sulfur is so helpful. It helps keeps your blood pressure at a stable level, and it will also help your body get rid of the toxins that build up in the cells. Similarly, you will also find that it can give you more energy, and that it is essential to the proper functioning of your cells.

You should include both forms of the mineral sulfur if you really want to help prevent easy bruising. You should consider an all natural, daily supplement program like Bruises Be Banned which has the proper combination of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals, including sulfur, that your body needs in order to help reduce bruising easily from happening at all.

What Is The Best Acne Product?

What is the Best Acne Product? One that helps heal current breakouts, prevent future breakouts, and help heal the skin. One of the biggest problems with acne antibiotics and medication is that is does not treat the underlying causes of acne, just the symptoms.

This means the person suffering from acne must stay on this medication all their lives for clear skin. And that can cause some pretty nasty side effects including:

- Skin rashes
- Sunlight sensitivity
- An overgrowth of yeast (thrush).

In addition, women who may become pregnant, are pregnant, or breast feeding should not use acne antibiotics - like tetracycline. Therefore most doctors will prescribe a less toxic oral acne medication like erythromycin, but the results are not as successful. So neither choice is the “best acne medicine.”

We here at Wrinkle Free Skin Tips have been researching natural acne products and products to enhance great health skin at any age. We found a natural acne product that contains Chinese medicine and herbs to not only heal acne, but happens to be great for aging skin too.

We understand how difficult dealing with acne can be. Acne can cause depression and severely affect a person’s self esteem, no matter what age you are. That’s why finding an effective acne treatment is so important.

While you may have tried the typical over-the-counter, drug store type of acne treatments, these products are not potent enough for severe or stubborn acne, and are often to drying and damaging to the skin of older people.

Based on what we know about acne and after evaluating several acne medicine reviews — we found a simple 3 step process that contains proven and powerful adult acne medication along with a balance of Western and Chinese herbal medicine for acne treatment. This 3 step system will accomplish the following:

Cleanse the skin - While it’s important to keep the skin clean, you need to be careful not to over dry it. You acne cleanser should clear pores, but not strip the oil.

Reduce The Bacteria - Again, it’s important to reduce acne and pus causing bacteria, while maintaining the skins natural moisture and pH balance.

Heal From Within - Unhealthy skin usually starts from within. That’s why for complete success it is important to begin skin healing the inside by taking a healing herbal supplement to cleanse the body and regulate imbalanced hormones, and balance the pH factor of your skin.

Psoriasis Diet - How To Treat Psoriasis

If you’re looking for a new way of battling psoriasis the answer may be in the psoriasis diet. People from all over the nation have written the National Psoriasis Foundation telling them that changes in their food intake and supplements have positively impacted their symptoms. While this is cause for hope, we must remain aware that each person with psoriasis has a unique mix of problems, potentially combined with other medical issues and different types of lifestyles. That makes it very hard to pin down a “pat” psoriasis diet that can help anyone.

In comparing psoriasis sufferers we find that two people trying the same diet and supplement protocol can have very different results. One could get better, the other could get worse or see no change whatsoever. That means you may find it difficult to hit on the right combination of foods, vitamins and minerals to help your condition. Having said that, it’s certainly ok to carefully try specific items known to give your skin the nutrients it needs so long as it doesn’t go against any other medical protocol.

As you’re experimenting with food remain mindful that your current medications may be taking important nutrients from your body. That means people on psoriasis medication will want to look into mineral, vitamin and protein substances to offset what’s been lost. Particularly look to green leafy vegetables, salmon and other oily fish, peas, liver, oranges, cantaloupe and fortified cereal grains.

No matter what foods you utilize for your psoriasis diet, the National Psoriasis foundation strongly recommends curbing how much processed white flour, sugar, caffeine and alcohol you consume. This group also supports an FDA approved, natural psoriasis treatment that you can read about here. This drug free treatment can begin healing your skin and reduce symptoms greatly.

Psoriasis sufferers grow weary to the toxic medications that may cause side effects and the high costs of associated health insurance. Thus, they’re looking for alternative, cost effective products that aren’t harmful. This desire is wonderful as people are becoming partners in their treatments. The National Psoriasis Foundation supports this kind of partnership, particularly with herbal applications.

A survey released in May 2004 conducted by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) and the National Center for Health Statistics found that in 2002, 36 percent of U.S. adults were using some form of complementary and alternative medicine.” However, most natural products have not been very effective for most types of psoriasis, like rapid skin cell replication which causes skin cells to produce much faster than normal healthy skin and results in that white, scaly, thick, patches you often see in psoriasis suffers.

But - there is good news. The FDA and the National Psoriasis Foundation recently approved a safe and effective, all natural psoriasis cream. This herbal remedy helps to: Moisturize your skin, Restore pH balance, Reduce thick skin buildup, Heals the skin
In addition to a healthy diet, which includes vegetables, fish, legumes - an herbal psoriasis cream can go a long way in supporting healthy skin free from psoriasis symptoms.

Secrets To Learning about Nutrient Statement For Beverages And Why They Are Both Your Buddy And Foe!

We look at nutrient labels for different reasons. But, whatever our reasons, everyone needs to know how to use this information more effectively and wisely. When it comes to beverage labels, we’re drinking more calories than ever, so it is even more important to understand not only the familiar components- calories, carbs and fats, but also deciphering the flavor descriptors for the beverage of choice.

A juices flavoring descriptor is a signal to inside drink. Not all descriptions are approved by the Government. So now you have to deal with marketing descriptions such as pure flavoring and all natural flavors along with descriptors that are on point but still just as confusing- natural, artificial, natural and artificial. More on flavoring descriptions later in the eidtorial.

Here’s a quick overview of the nutrition facts label. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration require food and beverage companies to list nutritional information about their products. Nutrition facts labels help consumers make healthful choices about the foods and beverages they both eat and drink. Here is how the FDA explains how to understand what’s important and a few of the most common components:

Reviewing the facts panel next. Here are the nutrients you want to drink or eat less of (saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar) as well as those you want to get enough of (vitamins, minerals and fiber). A beverage or food that provides 5 percent or less of daily value is considered to be low in that nutrient, while a food is considered a good source of a nutrient if one serving provides 20 percent daily values-DV.

Understanding the size of the serving now. This is the 1st nutrient line on the panel and the start for all the numbers and percentages after it. If you don’t look at this, you could be consuming more calories than you know. For example, a single serving of your favorite fruit drink is typically 1 cup, not 2, so you’re typical drinking container could be doubling your actual calorie intake, doubling the calories, fat, carbohydrates, etc. without you even knowing.

Calorie line is next. This tells you the number of calories in a serving. Also listed are the calories from fat and sodium. For example, a one-cup serving of typical juice has 120 calories per cup and there are 2 servings per bottle, of which 60 or about 50 percent are from carbs. If you’re looking to limit carbs, you might choose products with 30 percent or less carbs.

The nutrient information comes next. This box lists what’s in the beverage, including any added nutrients, fats or sugars. Ingredients are listed in order by weight, from the largest to the smallest. So if you want to cut back on sodium or sugar, don’t choose a beverage or food product with sugar as the first ingredient. And don’t be tricked by different forms of fat and sugar listed with unfamiliar names. If you want to know how much sugar is really in a product, look for what we call the osis affliction. Words that end in “ose” -sucrose, dextrose, fructose - as well as more common synonyms: corn syrup, molasses and honey.

All about descriptors are next. What does pure flavoring or all natural really mean? What does “light”, “fat-free” and “low-sodium” really mean? Here’s how the FDA defines these words: low-saturated fat (one gram or less per serving); low-sodium (140 milligrams or less); low-cholesterol (20 milligrams or less and 2 grams or less of saturated fat); low-calorie (40 calories or less). Light beverages and foods have two-thirds the calories of the regular variety. Note: It is important to understand that just because a product is low-fat or low-sugar that does not necessarily me low calories.

Per the FDA, there are really only 3 actual flavor descriptions, four if you include savory/spices. Heres a short overview of the more common meanings: 1. Natural: essential oil, essence or extractive, distillate, or any product which contains the flavoring constituents derived from a spice, fruit, or fruit juice whose significant function is flavoring rather than nutritional. 2. Artificial: any substance used to enhance flavor not derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice. 3. Natural & Artificial: A mixture of natural and artificial flavorings.

So, when it comes to flavoring descriptors for the beverages you drink, you need to look further when a beverage claims pure flavoring. Look deeper at fruit juices. They taste great but are loaded with high fructose corn syrups, even though they are natural flavorings. Look for alternative beverages that allow you to get all the flavoring with none of the calories, carbs and fats.

Our recommendation is to search and drink more flavored water if you want something with flavor. There is a wide selection of bottled flavor water to choose from. Be careful and pick the ones with 0 calories. You can also make your own flavored water by cutting up slices of fruit. Search for natural flavoring additives and concentrates with 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 fats is another low cost alternative to high caloric beverages. These flavoring concentrates are new to the market and let you enhance the flavor of water, teas, coffees, even vodkas with 0 calories.

When it comes to your weight and good health, searching for low cost alternatives to beverages makes good sense. Flavored water with natural flavoring concentrates could end up becoming your perfect diet drink!

The Atkins Grapefruit Diet.

The Atkins Grapefruit diet is a diet plan, not endorsed by the eponymous Dr. Atkins firm, that hopes to play on the popularity of the grapefruit diet and the Atkins diet name. However, a closer look into this diet reveals that it may not be all it claims to be.

First of all, it’s very difficult to any find information on the Atkins grapefruit diet plan at all. Smart people know that when someone is carrying out a deception, or a con, they will usually gloss over the facts. This is what the Atkins grapefruit diet seems to be doing in an attempt to get people to associate it with two seemingly effective diets.

Is the Atkins Grapefruit Diet part of the Atkins Diet or support by the estate of the late Dr. Atkins? The answer is no, not only is there no mention of the Atkins Grapefruit Diet on the Atkins web site, but there is no fruit of any kind mentioned in the list of allowed foods in the Atkins diet Induction phase either.

The induction phase includes the following foods: Fish of all kinds. All fowl such as turkey and chicken. Any shellfish. Any meat such as beef or pork. Eggs cooked in any style including fried. Cheese. Vegetables. Herbs and Spices. Fats and Oils. Low carbohydrate beverages including diet soft drinks.

Please, notice one thing - fruit is not on that list. Later phases of the Atkins diet do include limited amounts of fruits such as cantaloupe and even strawberries, and the pre-maintenance and maintenance phases even specifically allow small quantities of grapefruit. But when compared to the amount of Grapefruit recommended on the Atkins Grapefruit Diet, again there is a massive disagreement.

The Atkins Grapefruit Diet suggests a cup of grapefruit juice or a cup of grapefruit sections, with 8 and 18 carbs respectively. Even the most generous phases of the Atkins diet suggests limiting intake to less 8 carbs per day, with regard to grapefruit. That is a direct contradiction from one diet to the other.

Most sensible people would have a look at the Atkins website itself the moment they heard of the Atkins Grapefruit Diet and when they found no mention of that diet on their site, a red light would flash and an alarmbell would sound.

In general, remember this: any diet that relies too heavily on one food, such as grapefruit in a grapefruit diet, is unhealthy for any but very short periods. The Atkins Grapefruit Diet is not associated with the Atkins diet, and may interfere with the results of the Atkins diet in its early phases.

The Second Date; Make The Most Out Of It

I love first dates, I truly do, but I have to say I’m over them. There’s so much build up, so much pressure (not to mention uncomfortable shoes) and don’t even get me started on the billions of articles out there about first dates. Really, it’s all a big to do about one night, and when you stop to think about it, it isn’t THE most important.

Obviously the first date is something special. It’s the “first impression” phase of a potential new relationship. The third date, at least in my experience, is where we give our new sweetie a peek at our sexy unmentionables. Having said that, these days anything goes; from first date to wedding night. But all things considered, the third date appears to be “date rush” night.

The date between the first and the third gets short shrift. Not enough of us pay attention to it which is unfortunate because this is where the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is. By the second date you’re much more at ease, less nervous, and those sexy urges are usually tamped down until the third date. There’s obviously an attraction there, or you wouldn’t be having a second date.

The second date hits the sweet spot. To make sure that you are making the most of this special and underrated event, here’s a handy checklist:

Do a lot of listening

First of all, relax and be prepared to listen. You obviously did well on the first date or you wouldn’t be here for a second date. So settles your nerves and put your brain back in gear. You need to focus less on making yourself look good and focus more on being genuinely interested in the other person. Listen, and take the information you’re given to heart. Allow it to make the person across from you become more complete.

Up your flirting

It’s actually important that you do (not to make flirting seem like a super serious matter or anything crazy like that); date number two is where too many people slip into the friend zone. If you appear to be sincerely interested in what your date is saying and laughing at their jokes and obviously enjoy their company but there are pretty much no sexual undertones to the evening, your date is going to think you just want to be friends.

And if that’s what you want than fine, but you probably don’t. Make your intentions clear by bringing on your “A” game.

Ignore all boxes

By boxes, I am referring to preset parameters around all kinds of things: yourself, this brand new relationship with another person, the other personany of it. You’ve been out one time. Don’t assume that you know exactly who the other person is. Don’t pretend to know exactly who they see you as. Definitely don’t think you have your relationship put in a neatly labeled box either. At this point, anything could still happen.

Asthma Treatment: What NOT To Do

For sickness and ailments, we all know too well that early detection and prevention proves to be far better than ignoring the signs and letting the condition go out of hand. It does not even matter if the condition is chronic or not, if left untreated these can become complicated and life threatening. Usually the first reaction of a patient when symptoms start to appear would be denial; until time comes that the problem can no longer be tolerated and complications would start to appear, thats when they seek professional help. This is one of the common problems that most medical practitioners have when dealing with asthma patients.

So that would be the first dont when it comes to asthma treatments. Never deny the fact that what you may be experiencing is already presenting itself as a condition and is not normal. Early detection and treatment would always be an advantage for you. Once you are diagnosed with asthma you will need to follow your regimen of medication so that you will be able to achieve the best desired result. Do not abandon your medication simply because you are not having the attacks or difficulties in breathing anymore. Stopping treatment in the middle of its cycle will not only make the conditions return but sometimes the condition comes back with a vengeance and a stronger resistance to the medications that you were taking before, making it more uncomfortable for you.

The third dont would be; not following your treatment program. These programs a specifically made by medical experts for each specific individual. No two programs are alike since for every patient there are different triggers that exist. By not following the specific program that you are given and the repetitions that you need to be doing this will sometimes trigger stronger flare ups that can be life threatening.

There are a lot of medicines and alternative medicines that are available today. Some of the alternative medications are common knowledge, some with scientific research done, and others would appear unconventional, but before you start trying out these medications talk to your doctor about it. One potentially dangerous alternative medication for example is cold applications as this can aggravate the conditions that are already showing, so do not try to play your medications by ear; whatever alternative medication or technique that you want to try out, always consult your doctor first.

The last dont would be to refrain from smoking. Do not smoke or try to stay away from smoggy areas. Try to cover your nose and mouth whenever you really need to be in such places because second hand smoking will affect you even more than when youre smoking yourself. I know that this would be somewhat hard for people whove been smoking for quite a while and then have been diagnosed with asthma. There are also medications that will help you out with this and you can ask your family and friends for support when trying to eliminate your smoking habit.

The last piece of advice would be: never smoke. Smoking not only triggers your condition it can also aggravate it. Try to stay away from smoggy areas and cover your mouth and nose if you really need to be in one. There are also medications and therapies available for patients that have been diagnosed with asthma but and have been smoking for quite some time. People sometimes get carried away when they are told that they have asthma, they start to think that they will not be able to lead a normal and full life but this is where they are wrong. Remember that having asthma is not the end of the world. With the right regimen and proper medication, you will be able to live happily and free of worries.
